The MONEY CLIP: Why YOU Need One... February 28 2016, 0 Comments

Money Clips are the new Style Essential.

Once considered a Luxury item for the Elite; the Money Clip is now something every man, woman and child can afford... and USE!

The Money Clip is a sleek supplement to that boxy briefcase, bulky bag or wide wallet you're likely lugging around right now.

It's something that you can easily slip into your pocket while dashing out for a cappuccino, going for a bike ride or walking the dog. (Chances are you're doing all these things at once.)

Carrying a Money Clip is not only convenient - it's exceptionally more stylish than this unsightly, back-breaking, bulls-eye for criminals...  We even recommend keeping it in your FRONT pocket, and since ours are nice and slim - without a bunch of crap glued to them - your pocket will stay nice and smooth.

With a Money Clip you can easily control your spending by taking exactly the amount of cash you want to dish-out and discreetly see what your finances are at a glance.

In this age of digital technology; as long as you have a credit card, some ID and a few bucks you're good to go - and yes - all of those things will fit into your Money Clip.

    Wallet Money Clip

Money Clips are a fun way to give the Gift of Cash - and lets face it, that is what everyone REALLY wants - or a Gift Card.

Octopus Money Clip - Gift of Cash

Heck, these don't even cost that much more than a Gift Card Holder; but the lucky receiver of a Money Clip will be rockin' it out long after these babies are taking up space in the landfill...

If you live in Canada you'll appreciate keeping that slippery new money together and IN your pocket!Tree Money Clip

In conclusion, if you want to be...

    • super-cool
    • efficient
    • always prepared
    • sleek
    • smart
    • thrifty
    • ecological
    • showing off your Love of Nature
    • fashionable and/or
    • giving away a sweet gift...

A Money Clip by THE RAVE 'N' IRON is a Superb Solution!

TIM is MOVING MOUNTAINS August 04 2015, 1 Comment

Tim's latest (and greatest!) endeavor is called 'MOVING MOUNTAINS' where he takes Stainless Steel Tiles and engraves gorgeous mountain scenes on them.

This is a blog that the owner of STAINLESS STEEL TILE, Inc. has curated to spread the word...

One of the pleasant surprises about owning Stainless Steel Tile, Inc. has been the special relationships we have formed with many of our customers.

One such relationship is with a very special artist, Tim Andrew, who lives in a remote mountain setting in the Arrow Lakes region of the West Kootenays.

Tim and his partner have been producing one of a kind wearable metal art and accessories under the business name THE RAVE 'N' IRON for the past 11 years.

What you won't see there yet is the reason for our connection with Tim - incredible mountain scenes using our stainless steel tiles as his canvas.  Our original contact was an email that he attached three pictures of what I thought were three different mountain scenes.  It turned out that the images were all of the same tile taken from different angles.

His art becomes a living, changing picture as the viewer moves.

His works evoke the strong emotional attachment Tim has with the mountains.

Indeed, the first pictures he sent immediately transported me back to a time just before Christmas in 1995 and a helicopter flight through the German, Austrian and Czech Alps on the initial deployment to establish the Implementation Force (IFOR) for Bosnia.

MOVING MOUNTAINS Stainless Steel Tile Art

Tim's art is unusual because of the tools and techniques he uses.  Tim is a self-taught creative metal smith with a background in aircraft sheet metal, tool and die and blacksmith work.  He has been practicing and perfecting his passion as a metal artist since 1998. He freehand engraves using high-speed rotary tools that he modifies to suit his needs.

Tim travels extensively across Canada showing their work at juried art shows and various craft fairs and festivals.

As I am writing this piece, his current series 'MOVING MOUNTAINS' features landscapes on stainless steel and will be exhibited as a solo show from July 21 to August 9 at Studio Connexion Gallery in Nakusp BC, Canada.

Presently Tim's works on stainless steel tile are only available at live events.

    Changing Seasons... October 03 2013, 1 Comment

    Autumn.

    My favorite Season.

The air is crisp and the leaves are ripe with color while fluttering about in the breeze...

Food is abundant - it's Harvest Time! - and there's an underlying anticipation of Winter preparations to tackle, like getting all of that firewood in and rummaging around for your favorite sweater and boots. (Sweaters and Boots!)

I listen for the last sounds of migrating birds and bid them safe journey and look forward to meeting with them again next year.

We make plans for company and fire-lit dinners now that everyone will be around and hunkerin' down.

I feel the Fall is a time of renewal... I know - most people think this would be Spring - but not me.

This is when I have energy.  Maybe it's that Harvest Moon?  I'm pretty lazy in the heat.

So in this time of renewal and freshness I would like to introduce (drum roll, please) our NEW WEBSITE!

    Welcome...
